317LMN stainless steel plate – UNS S31726

317LMN stainless steel is a high molybdenum, austenitic stainless steel with a higher nickel content than 317L and the addition of nitrogen.  Nitrogen provides additional strength to this grade, and like the regular variations, it can only be cold worked to harden.

Our 317LMN steel plate is perfect for sulfur rich environments, where its high molybdenum content improves corrosion resistance.  The addition of nitrogen also improves its strength and ability to resist corrosion at grain boundaries when welded.  Ask about our full service shearing and cutting services for this grade!

317LMN is frequently used in power plant environments for flue gasses, paper pulp, acidic dyes in textiles, and other chemical processing applications.
