ACM is a group of precision component manufacturers, processors, and suppliers located in the "Aerospace Alley" region around Hartford, CT (within ~50 miles). Mission / Key activities: They aim to be world leaders in producing high-quality aerospace components, emphasizing on-time delivery and competitive pricing. They also focus heavily on lean manufacturing, workforce training, and continuous improvement.
America Makes is the U.S.'s leading public-private partnership for additive manufacturing and 3D printing technology. It was founded in 2012 and is part of the Manufacturing USA network. Its work is to accelerate adoption of additive manufacturing, bringing together industry, academia, government, and others. Key areas include development of technology roadmaps, standards, workforce development, and supporting projects & challenges around AM. It is located in Youngstown, Ohio.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBS)
A national mentoring network that connects adult volunteers ("Bigs") with children ("Littles"), generally aged 6-18. Their mission is to develop one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power & promise of youth. They run community- and school-based programs, oversight to ensure youth safety, volunteer recruitment, and fundraising.
Greater Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, Ohio
A local chamber of commerce serving Hamilton, Ohio. They support local businesses through advocacy, events, networking, economic development, and helping grow the business community in Hamilton
International Titanium Association (ITA)
A membership-based international trade association for the titanium metal industry. ITA represents primary titanium metal producers and end users, promoting applications, safety, standards, and development of new markets. Metals Service Center Institute (MSCI)
MSCI is a trade association for the metals service center industry. It supports the supply chain for processed metals - service centers, processors, and distributors. Their work includes setting standards, training, market data, advocacy, and helping members with best practices.
Mid-West Fastener Association (MWFA)
A trade association for fastener manufacturers, suppliers, distributors in the Midwestern U.S. They promote the fastener industry through education, networking, keeping members informed about regulations, standards, and helping with business development.
Precision Metalforming Association (PMA)
A U.S. trade association representing companies that form or shape metal via various processes. PMA provides advocacy, training, benchmarking, technical resources, and events to help their members improve manufacturing operations, stay current with regulation, technology, and maintain competitiveness.
SME is a professional organization serving the manufacturing industry. It focuses on advancing manufacturing knowledge and skills through education, research, standards, conferences, and providing resources to professionals, companies and educators. Areas include additive manufacturing, digital transformation, robotics, etc.
South Windsor Chamber of Commerce
The chamber of commerce for South Windsor, CT. They support local businesses via networking events, business promotion, ambassador programs, and acting as a liaison between businesses and local government. Encouraging community and economic development.
STI/SPFA (Steel Tube Institute / Steel Plate Fabricators Association)
A combined trade association representing steel fabrication, steel plate fabrication and tube industries. They provide technical standards, safety guidance, educational resources, and support regulatory and policy issues for companies in steel fabrication / steel plate industries.
Turbomachinery Handbook / Turbomachinery International
A technical resource / publication site that covers turbomachinery (turbines, compressors, etc.). It publishes handbooks, articles, technical reference material, design and operational guidance, and serves as a resource for engineers and companies involved in turbomachinery design, maintenance, and innovation.
A global non-profit network that works to mobilize communities to advance the common good. United Way focuses on improving education, helping people achieve financial stability, and promoting health. They raise funds, operate and partner with programs locally and globally, to address these areas.
